Meet Pranav K.: Seeking Solutions to Homelessness Through Civic Engagement

Hometown: Henderson, Nevada

Competition Host(s): Vegas Chamber of Commerce

Essay Topic: Homelessness

Pranav K. is passionate about finding ways to strengthen his community and support those in need. For his National Civics Bee® essay, he focused on homelessness, exploring solutions that can help individuals and families access the resources and support they need to achieve stability and success.

When he’s not thinking about ways to improve his community, Pranav enjoys playing the piano and challenging himself to learn new things. One of his most impressive talents is being able to name all of the presidents of the United States, a skill that reflects his love of history and government.

A fan of history, Pranav’s favorite historical figure is George Washington, whose leadership helped shape the foundation of the nation. His greatest inspiration, however, is his mom, whom he considers his personal hero for her support, guidance, and encouragement.

Looking ahead, Pranav hopes to become a lawyer, combining his passion for history, problem-solving, and public service to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

When he’s not studying, practicing piano, or exploring civic issues, Pranav enjoys one of his favorite foods: pizza.

The National Civics Bee celebrates students like Pranav who are using their voices, ideas, and leadership to address important community challenges. We are proud to recognize him as a Nevada State Finalist.
